TUHF will deliver a multifunctional space for innovation and quality improvement (QI). This space will be designed to encourage collaboration and creativity, and it will be equipped with the latest technology, including interactive whiteboards and virtual reality systems. It will be used for a variety of purposes, including training, workshops, and presentations.

The floor will include meeting spaces, break-out rooms, and pods where patients, staff, and researchers could come together to exchange ideas, share information, and collaborate. These spaces will be designed to be both functional and comfortable, with comfortable seating, high-speed internet, and plenty of natural light.

The modular multifunctional space is critical to the vision for success.  It will

  • Support collaboration, experimentation, flexibility, and creativity, all of which are essential to driving healthcare innovation forward.
  • Encourage collaboration by having open, shared spaces for meetings, presentations and workshops so that different stakeholders can come together, breakout  and work towards a common goal.
  • Facilitate experimentation by delivering prototype areas and maker spaces enabling hands on experimentation and testing of new healthcare technologies.
  • Promote flexibility by designing a space that allows for the ability to reconfigure spaces as needed, allowing for different stages of the innovation process, from ideation to prototyping to commercialisation to occur in the same location
  • Foster creativity; a dynamic, flexible environment to inspire and motivate people to think creatively and generate new ideas.

With QI embedded in the Innovation Centre we underpin our commitment to excellence.  The QI team will be dedicated to improving every aspect of the patient experience; enhancing the culture of quality, empowering staff to identify and eliminate inefficiencies in their work – ultimately shifting the paradigm from healthcare service providers to healthcare service innovators.  Equally by streamlining processes, reducing waste and improving patient outcomes QI can help lower costs and improve the financial performance of healthcare provision.
